Taking place September 20 in Ottawa, with a virtual participation window throughout the month, the event includes 5K, 10K, and half marathon distances, while raising funds for programs supporting Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, and their families.

Veterans Affairs Canada will host a commemorative event Vancouver’s Sunset Beach to mark the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Pacific and the end of the Second World War, culminating in a unique “Kites for Peace” activity. The event will include some remarks, live musical performances and exhibitors showcasing diversity, Canadian multiculturalism, and Canada’s military contributions, with a specific focus on the end of the Second World War.

Family Day activities will be held on Saturday, April 11 at the Vimy Visitor Education Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Les Amis du Monument Canadien de Vimy, a local volunteer association, is organizing the activities and events. Members of the public are encouraged and welcome to attend.

 Designed as an interactive evening, the Military History Trivia Night invites participants to test their knowledge of Canadian and global military history in a social setting. Taking place March 23, 2026, at the Mewata Armoury in Calgary, the event combines friendly competition with informal networking, offering a relaxed format supported by light refreshments and a charitable focus.

Focused on the mental health and well-being of military families, the Veteran Family Summit 2026 creates space for shared experiences, practical support, and peer-led insight. Held virtually on January 22–23, the free two-day event explores topics such as grief, substance use, and recovery, offering resources and conversations tailored specifically to Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP Veteran families.

 VeteranConnect focuses on career transition by creating a virtual space where veterans can connect directly with employers, recruiters, and peers across industries. Hosted online, the event supports networking, job exploration, and skill development, offering structured conversations and one-on-one interactions tailored to military professionals moving into civilian careers.

The annual Canadian Walk for Veterans has been hosted since 2018 by One Veteran Society and invites Canadians to walk shoulder to shoulder  in recognition of our military and Veterans. In 2024, Canadian Walk for Veterans through One Veteran Society and True Patriot Love, Canada’s Foundation for the military community proudly to announced a strategic merger aimed at enhancing support for Canada’s military, Veteran communities and their families.
